Luggage Tag Styles
Our luggage tag finishing is done with high-quality bridle leather and offered in various sizes and styles. Display your passion(s) to the world; whether it's your favorite team logo, school mascot, hobbies, initials, pets, etc., you are only limited by your imagination. The framed standard and mini luggage tags have an angled top in the vintage luggage tag style and many designs for this style are offered at your local needlepoint shop.
Stitching Requirements
Round Framed Tag: Total stitched area should be a 3" diameter circle. The visible stitched area for this tag is 2 ¾" so make sure that your design will fit within this area. Print out the appropriate template, cut out the center and lay it over your stitched design to be sure you have no unstitched canvas visible.
Standard Framed Tag: Finished stitch count should be 97 rows top to bottom at the tallest point and 54 stitches from side to side at the widest point. This stitch count includes extra rows to ensure that no unstitched canvas is visible. After stitching your main design add background stitching if necessary to reach the required size. Please do not stitch more than the specified number of rows/stitches. Print out the appropriate template, cut out the center and lay it over your stitched design to be sure you have no unstitched canvas visible.
Mini Framed Tag: Finished stitch count should be 77 rows top to bottom at the tallest point and 41 stitches from side to side at the widest point. This stitch count includes extra rows to ensure that no unstitched canvas is visible. After stitching your main design add background stitching if necessary to reach the required size. Please do not stitch more than the specified number of rows/stitches. Print out the appropriate template, cut out the center and lay it over your stitched design to be sure you have no unstitched canvas visible.
Flat Bound Tag: No template is provided for this style as you may size as you wish to accommodate your desired pattern/design. The most common size is approximately a 2½" x 4" rectangle but the tag may be larger or smaller if necessary. We do request that you finish all 4 sides of the canvas with a binding stitch as this makes for a much more attractive finish than a folded edge.

Framed Luggage Tags
Standard Tag
The standard framed tag is sized/shaped to fit many of the vintage luggage tag designs available at your local needlepoint shop. Please refer to the template above to be sure your canvas will fit our dimensions.
Your choice of buckle or snap.
Mini Tag
The mini framed tag is a smaller version of the standard size and is also in the vintage shape/style. Please refer to the above template for exact sizing.
Either buckle or snap is offered for this tag.
Round Tag
The round tag is simply a circular tag on which you may stitch any design that will fit in the 3" framed portion. It is offered with either a snap or buckle option. Please refer to the above round tag template for exact sizing required.
Flat Bound Luggage Tag
The unframed luggage tag style may be square or rectangular in shape. You may stitch any size that you need to accommodate your needlepoint design. We do require a binding/finishing stitch on all four sides.
Flat Bound Tag
This tag is stitched to a bridle leather backing and has a leather strap with either a buckle or snap option.
